Don’t get me wrong, fifty games in one is certainly appealing on paper, but in practice, these games are just far too dated for me to comfortably. 2 Atari Classics PEGI 12 Gambling Online multiplayer on console requires Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Live Gold (subscription sold separately). First and foremost, I take issue with the game’s price tag. So yes 2 thumbs up and keep doing great things and a special thanks for those of us that grew up with video games and made them all what they are today. The Atari Flashback Classics Volume 3 follows in the footsteps of its predecessors, delivering fifty classic games in one neat bundle. Any effort put on the market to help me bring back the lost gaming of yesteryear and childhood nostalgia are always worth a purchase to me. All 3 of Atari’s collections released to date on the Xbox Vol 1, 2, and 3 are all worth the price of admission. So take other reviews with a grain of salt. While I’m not sure what licensing would be involved this would be a dream come true to me personally (other arcade powerhouses take note). I’d pay AAA retail price for a robust collection of Atari’s finest and complete collection of all their arcade greats. I would love to see more collections of this nature especially a fully loaded coin-op collection from Atari, all in one complete bundle. If you aren’t a retro gamer there’s nothing here to change your mind, if you are a retro-head like myself dive in! The price of admission is less than a couple hours in an 80’s arcade (if you were good), and there’s so many games you should remember if you played as many games as I have since the days of Pong. The presentation of the game is clean, and you’ll love the retro feel.
So instead of critiquing each game for how good or great it was many years ago, I’ll simply say this. So my review for this second collection of Atari classics to date will be about what it offers for what it is, retro greatness.
